Giovanni Giorgio Maria Blarzino was born in Vicenza on August 18th 1964. He was awarded the Diploma in Arts in 1986 at the Liceo Artistico of Valdagno where he distinguished himself -among the other fine arts' subjects studied- in literary composition and poetry. In 1994 he graduated as Doctor of Architecture at the University of Genua, the following year attaining the professional qualification in Architecture.

During his time at university, he took part in the literary competition Pavese-Giordanengo in Alba (Cuneo) in which three of his compositions gained special merits (2 medals and 1 mention).

In 1987 he experienced a deep spiritual conversion after visiting San Martino of Schio -Vicenza- (a place of Marian devotion based on the apparitions the Virgin Mary as the "Queen of Love").

At the same time he started to compose religious songs and to date has a repertory of roundabout 120 religious pieces in different languages. Some of these were recorded on his early Cds being works carried out with the group "Königin der Liebe" -now "Regina Amoris"- which he founded in 1997 at the height of the international Marian meeting : "Tutti tuoi o Maria... Madre di Gesù"/"All yours, o Mary, Mother of Jesus" in Schio (Italy).

Our Lady has been honoured with the title Regina dell'Amore (Queen of Love) in San Martino of Schio since 1985, the years the apparitions there started.. At the beginning, the name of the musical band of singers was in German because of their ministry of new evangelisation in Germany, as well as Italy.

In 1995 Giovanni Blarzino. married Heidi Fischer, who he had met at the first Marian youth meeting in Schio three years earlier. Now they are both working hard in their apostolate for Mary, Queen of Love, in Bavaria. Together they alternate their jobs as teachers in private schools in the Pfaffenwinkel area of Bavaria with the organisation of prayergroups, pilgrimages and religious meetings and concerts.

Including his wife Heidi, the following young singers and musicians featured in the latest performance of "Regina Amoris": Vincenzo Zoccano, Maria Chiara Astolfi, Manuela Chiudina, Liana Callegaro, Antonio Cornale, Jürgen Richter, Tom Blum, Mara Blum, Eva Wimmer, Kristine Scheffels, Stefan Bohn, Günther Hartmann, Christof Semmlinger and the soprano-singer Monika Neumeister.

The two titles of their early musical work-outs are: "Stabat Mater Regina Amoris" (1999) and "No-end Communion" (2000), on the label of the"Centro di Produzione Audiovisivi SAN MASSIMILIANO KOLBE" di Schio.

Since last year, Giovanni Blarzino has become good friends with the big international Christian author & singer Luis Alfredo Diaz of Barcelona, and the two have worked together for the realisation of a new Cd on the theme "Pro Life".

Every year since 1998 the group "Regina Amoris" has organized a day of prayer and songs titled "Singen wir Ehre dem Vater!"/"Let us sing praise to the Father!" in the splendid surroundings of Wessobrunn (Oberbayern - Germany), between late July and early August.

In the jubilee Year 2000 this meeting enjoyed the help and collaboration of another big international author & singer, Roberto Bignoli of Milan, acquiring a really international character, while hosting in addition the above-mentioned Spanish artist Luis Alfredo Diaz, the Croatian author & singer Luka Balvan, the young missionary author & singer from Brasil, Daniela Astolfi, and the German group "Totus Tuus", plus the ex-"Königin der Liebe" group in their latest formation for "No-end Communion".

The Architect Blarzino has two projects "works-in-progress" at the moment: the Cd "Cum Christo pro Vitam" for the current year, which will be immediately followed by "Christmas 2002" at Christmas of next year.

"Praise be to the Father!"
