GRETCHEN
HARRIS

Gretchen
Harris is a Catholic singer and songwriter, who shows through her
music her great love for God and her devotion to the Blessed
Sacrament, the Holy Rosary, and respect for Life.
Gretchen has always felt a calling to the music ministry,
beginning in her early teens. She followed that calling by
developing her faith and her music, and growing through her life
experience, culminating in the release of two albums thus far.
Gretchen has a special devotion to the Blessed Mother, and on a
pilgrimage in 1991, was blessed to receive a special sign to sing
to Mary. In gratitude and love for her, she recorded the album
“Sing of Mary” in her honor.
In recent years, Gretchen was blessed beyond measure to be chosen
by Dana, the renowned Irish singer, to sing with her on the
recording and the music video of the beautiful pro-life song,
"This Is My Body." The concept of the song was suggested
to Dana by Fr. Frank Pavone, Director of Priests for Life, and it
can be found on Dana’s album, "Humble Myself." The
music video of “This Is My Body” won the Unity Award for
"Music Video of the Year" from the UCMVA. Gretchen truly
believes that this is the most important song she has ever been
involved in, having witnessed how it has changed people’s hearts
and minds regarding abortion.
Gretchen has been a musical guest on Dana’s EWTN television
series, "We Are One Body," and has performed in the
"Keeping the Faith Alive Tour" with HeartBeat Records.
Her songs can be heard on EWTN’s Catholic Jukebox radio program,
and she has ministered all over through radio programs and
interviews. She enjoys sharing her music in concerts and sang
recently with singer Tatiana at the Sacred Heart Retreat Center in
Los Angeles.
In addition to her vocation as wife and mother of three children,
Gretchen is enjoying reaching out to others through her growing
music ministry. She has just finished producing a wonderful album
of her gifted parish choirs from St. Lawrence Martyr Church in
Redondo Beach, California.
