Julie's Christian Music background began for her at a very early age. Growing up in Michigan she was only five years old when she began to solo in public. It was years later, after really living life, that, she began to write her own music. She is continually inspired by what really happens in the world around her, to family and friends and how God's hand is in the middle of all of it. She gives a realness to what she sings as the energy releases from her both lyrically and musically.

Her inspiration comes from a variety of sources as she is the middle of seven siblings, has been married for a good number of years, has three children of her own and has experienced so much of life, both good and bad, that it is truly hard to put into just a few words. In here lies powerful lyrics and music to present those lyric.

Julie is comfortable in most settings. Ranging from churches and auditoriums to arenas and other various venues. She shares her ministry in small gatherings and is equally at home in venues that can host 15,000+ people. Her main focus is to share the Word of Christ through her divine gift of voice, and the ability to write music that appeals to all ages. On Sundays when Julie is home she continues to minister in her local Phoenix church {a church with 4000+ families} where she is directing and developing a Contemporary Christian Music department.

Julie is married and has three children. Two daughters, Edel and Heidi, and a son, Paul. Her husband Kurt really encourages her in her ministry. Julie is gifted with a musical family. Edel recently wrote a piano score for a newsong that will be recorded on the next project. Her daughter Heidi joined Julie on a two week concert tour in the Holy Lands this past June of 2000, and joined her mother in singing a song at the concert in Bethlehem where, by no coincidence, the theme wasmother and child. Paul, only seven years old, loves to just sing along and is always asking mom to sing one of his favorite songs "Awesome God" (no mom didn't write that one) or anyone of his favorites that Julie is working on.
