TOMEK KAMINSKI

Tomek Kaminski - violinist and vocalist was born in Torun on 23 August 1965. His musical experience developed as a member of the THE BLUES NIGHTSHIFT BAND, one of the most popular polish acoustic blues bands, in which he spent many years singing and playing violin. He has recorded 7 albums and several films and videoclips for Polish TV together with the band. He has also played and recorded sessions together with top stars of blues music such as: B.B.King, Blues Brothers Band, Luisiana Red and Charlie Musselwhite.
After many years of co-operation Tomek decided to start his solo career. It was difficult but necessary decision. Letting him stay in harmony with his own feelings and thoughts. His first solo album "MALE MILOSCI" (LITTLE LOVES) was released on June 7th 1999. The album full of coloured music brought one absolute hit, a song "TY TYLKO MNIE POPROWADZ" (YOU ONLY LEAD ME). That song was found as a most popular among pilgrims on the way to Jasna Góra (Czestochowa). Also one of the most popular catholic radio station "RADIO MARYJA" announced that song as a Song of the Year 2000.
Tomek and his band travel a lot. In the year 2000 it was over 60 live concerts. In 2001 he has already crossed figure of 80 performances. Hi is enthusiastically welcomed. One of the reasons of such popularity is the fact that audience finally has a chance of meeting higher skilled musicians, performing lovely music with truly interesting lyrics. That's why they often sing together with Tomek. It is necessary underline Tomek's Christian roots reflected in what he sings at the stage.
Tomek himself doesn't use the word "concert". It is rather a spiritual feelings what he does. Very often Tomek meets his fans after the "concert" and talks to them giving his testimony.
Seconds Tomek's album "Anioly do mnie wysylaj" released in March this year is also warmly recened. We may say that it achieved also commercial success with over 13.000 copies sold so far. Tomek's music is present on many Christian radio stations in Poland as well as on TV stations ("Z MILOSCI DO CIEBIE" - BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE).
