LYNN
COOPER

"The
words of her Music, the warmth of her voice, and her ability to
witness to her faith in a clear, warm and winning way are
wonderful gifts God has given her." Neil Cross - Pastor -
United Methodist Church. "Music has always been a passion in
my life," says Lynn Cooper, who studied vocal music at the
University of Nebraska. "Knowing I can touch even one person's
life when I perform is amazing and humbling." Lynn ministers
in song and testimony to searching people. I feel called to
minister to people from all faiths and walks of life,: she says.
Lynn's musical career began when, at age 11, she was chosen as a
choir member of a regional television show. She continued to
perform, both as a soloist and in small groups, throughout high
school. During her senior year, her faith was tested....and
strengthened....by illness. "One morning, as I tried to get
up for school, I literally fell out of bed," she says. "That
afternoon I learned I had a form of Juvenile Rhumatoid Arthritis.
I had to give up piano, swimming, cheerleading. My body could
still sing, but not my heart. That's when I learned how to pray,
and to let others pray for me. After nine months of much prayer
and medical treatment, I was healed." That experience has
molded her ministry, "After a concert, I am especially moved
and blessed when I pray with people who ask for intercession,"
she says. "This is when I feel the Holy Spirit's presence."
Since 1994, Lynn has been writing songs and singing them across
the country, "I feel called to write and sing the songs God
gives me," she says. "I'm just a hand and voice for Him."

Her music and testimony relate to the joy of grace freely given by
the Father and the need for it when life is hard. Part of her life
experiences shared is the healing power of prayer. When in high
school Lynn was diagnosed with Juvenile Rhematoid Arthritis. After
nine months of medical treatment and prayer, Lynn was healed of
this disease. After her concerts, Lynn meets with those wanting
prayer, or just sharing with those who wish to meet her and talk.
This is one of the rewards Lynn treasures about her ministry.
Monsignor Myron J. Pleskac, St. Joseph Church, Lincoln, NE says,
"She makes everyone in attendance feel, not only welcome, but
special. She greets attendees personally before and after her
concerts, and prays with them, if they so desire."
