PATRICK
MULHERN

Patrick
is a classically trained lyric tenor. While born in Rockville, MD,
his beautiful lilting voice reveals his Irish heritage. One of ten
children, in his youth, he served as an altar boy and sang in
church with his mother, who was a professional singer.
Throughout
his adult career, Pat has performed as a soloist or as part of a
voice ensemble at the Kennedy Center, National Cathedral, Shrine
of the Immaculate Conception, St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC and
many other churches throughout the eastern USA.
He
has quite an impressive repertoire of Broadway hits as well as
popular Irish ballads and favorite Italian arias. His true love,
however, is sacred music. Patrick has had the honor of being tenor
soloist for such stunning Oratorio as Handel's Messiah, Stainer's
Crucifixion and Haydn's Creation.
Inspired
by his own return to the church in 1993, Patrick decided to branch
out as a soloist and in 1995 recorded his first album, titled
"I Can See". In 1998 he recorded and released a second
project, "His Gift: Reflections on the Christmas Story".
In both these recordings it is evident that Pat sings from the
heart and with the love of God. Few artists can combine the
control and beauty of a well trained tenor voice with the sincere
emotion and spirituality that he brings to his music and audiences.
The mix of contemporary, traditional and classical selections
offers something wonderful for nearly everyone.
Patrick
Mulhern is married and is the father of four girls, three of which,
on occasion perform with him and sing on his Christmas album.
Kelly and Bridget are prize winning Irish dancers and dance often
at Irish concerts. pat is also a proud member of the Knights of
Columbus.
