Pollyanna
Interview with Upcoming Artists
Hello Pollyanna! Can you tell us what you are working right now?
Just finished sound proofing our private recording studio here in
Orlando. I’m writing new material with different writers and
producers and setting up some new shows as well.
When did you know
you wanted to be a singer? When I began public school in the
9th grade, I discovered my voice. My friend Trisha and I started
playing around singing together in harmony, then entered in a
talent show. The next year I joined the choir and never stopped
singing since.
Who has been the
most inspirational person in your life? God and my family.
If you could work
with any two people in the business, who would you like to work
with and why? 1. Oprah – to promote the Dorough Lupus
Foundation 2. Sony Records – As a Recording Artist
What has been
your most memorable performance? My first day opening for the
Backstreet Boys in front of 60,000 people in Mexico City.
Can you tell us a
few things about yourself that fans don’t know? I’m a
single Catholic girl, born in Washington D.C., whose nationality
is Puerto Rican & Irish.
Do you have any
traditions/rituals before you go on stage? I pray.
You seem to be
very close to your brother Howie. Do you like performing with him?
How do you feel about working with him? I love performing and
working with my brother. It feels very comforting to have someone
on stage next to you that has unconditional love & support.
Describe yourself
in three words Optimistic, Talented & Determined
What are your
plans for 2003? To release my music, either through a record
label or through the internet.
Finally, do you
have a special message for your fans? Thank you for your loyal
and continued support towards myself, my brother, my family, the
Dorough Lupus Foundation and the Backstreet Boys. It has not gone
unnoticed and will be well worth the wait. Take care, God Bless
and I’ll see you soon.
