all his musical rims, thinking that the vocation to priesthood
should be incompatible with the light and rock music.
At the end of his studies in the seminary he recovered the love
for music enreaching first source with inspiration the cristian
one. The result were music tests of great human inspiration, but
the ardent of spiritual depth accorsing to spontaneous expression
of later his friends, induced him to record some of his songs for
the occasion of his priestly ordination. So, in 1994, he published
his first record called "Innamorami di Te". In 1996 he
published "Fatti per essere". His composition "Uno
per essere Chiesa" was chosen by Chiara Lubich, founder of
the "Movimento dei Focolari", as the hymn of the
international congress of the movement "Parrocchie
nuove", a ramification of the movement of the hearths. In the
same record you can find the song "Maria poesia" with
which he won the festival of songs dedicated to Virgin Mary,
organized by Giuseppe Cionfoli. With other songs he is present in
many records: "Magnificat 95" (Rugginenti ed.),
"Aprite a Gesł Cristo" (Monfortane ed.), "Maria la
via a Cristo 2000" (Boom ed.).
On december 1997 he took part in the second edition of the "Ankon
festival" in Ancona, avertised by "Arancia Network"
and radio "Latte e miele" and organized by E. Fratini.
He won the festival and received the prize for the better text,
also from a jury formed by Mogol, Migliacci, M. Pecora, and a
other different producers of big italian artists.
For the last record ", "BUONENUOVE", he placed his
trust in the artistic direction of Tony Bungaro e C. Passavanti;
they just came through the success of Sanremo 1998 with the song
"Senza confini", that had received the prize of the
critics.
This summer, together with a band fabulous and explosive, he gave
way to a series of concerts alive with great success. The comment,
that often father Mimmo picked up among people, were of this kind:
"I didn't expect when read the manifest, I though at once to
the sermon that a priest could do, instead just from the first
song I've realized he has grim, voice, ability, communicative...
congratulations and we hope to see him to Sanremo".
