SARA AGGI

Saras musical career was birthed in church at a very early age. From her debut as a soloist in the "Sorriso" choir at the age of four, she has come a long way in establishing herself as a singer in Italy and abroad. Saras musical road has taken her to many interesting destinations. Her first major exposure came from singing with Italian Gospel artist Dario Costa at Christian Arts 90 in Amsterdam. This was followed by a string of Gospel music productions in the nation of Italy: IO HO UN SOGNO ("I have a Dream"), MUSICALMENTE INSIEME ("Together Musically") and RESPIRO DEL CIELO ("Breath of Heaven") between 1993 and 1994. The following two years saw numerous concerts and performances with the Holy Jam Band. A highlight with this band was leading the worship in Catania for the 1996 March For Jesus.

In 1995 Sara met well known South African artist and president of All Good Gifts International, Evan Schoombie. This meeting sparked their musical cooperation which has subsequently produced a number of albums. Sara translated the songs of Evans first Italian album, IL TUO GRANDE AMORE, into that language. Apart from singing backing vocals for this project, Sara also sang the title song as a duet with Evan. That song was the real debut of this "new voice" on the Christian music scene. Following this album, was Evans next project in Italian, PIU` IN LA` VEDRAI. Again Sara went to South Africa for the recordings, doing the translations and singing backing vocals. It was during this project that the offer came for Saras debut solo album.

1997 surely turned out to be an extremely important year for Sara, who now worked as a member of the full-time AGGI team. Together they recorded the ministrys first live praise and worship album, FREE TO PRAISE. The Italian rendition, LIBERI DI LODARE, was fruit of Saras translation skills. Both albums were recorded live at the State Theatre in Pretoria. This year also saw the recording and launching of Saras album DENTRO ME ("Within Me").
Her album has been released by means of concert tours with Evan in Italy, South Africa and the USA.

From October 1997 to May 1998, Sara has received a vast number of invitations to minister in song. This has resulted in numerous jam-packed tours in her nation and abroad, on her own or as part of the concert tours of Evan Schoombie. The most recent concert tour was RAVVIVA LA LODE ("Revival of Praise") during which Evan and Sara launched their new album, LA FIONDA DI DAVIDE ("The Sling of David"). This album is a co-production with the Italian childrens minister, Antonio Amico, president of the foundation, La Fionda Di Davide. The album comprises of a bouquet of songs for children by Evan and Sara and two excellent narrations by Antonio Amico.

Sara has just completed her participation in GOSPEL JUBILEE in Torino. Upcoming events, the European Congress of Elim Churches in Rome "EUROPENTECOST", where she will be leading the worship, and a missionary trip with Reapers International, all over Sicily and Malta. From there its back to South Africa, for the JOY! FREE TO PRAISE national series of worship conferences hosted by Evan Schoombie and for the recording of Evans new live album "YOUR GREAT LOVE" (available in italian as "RITORNO A TE"). She will be part of next year AGGIs tour both in Italy (March/May 1999) and South Africa (September/October 1999).
