UNIÃO

Though União’s first appearence came out in 1997, playing in a  Christian Festival at São Paulo-Brazil. It was in the mid nineties, when guitarist and vocalist Irineu Lodi decided to start a band with the  drummer Reinaldo Silvério started jamming with other some friends. They called themselves like a project at first, but soon changed their oppinions and decided to be a truly heavy metal band. In early 1999, a good lead guitarist  joined the band, Timo Kaarkoski, a guitarist from Finland who lives in Brazil with a very good experience in his fingers . This very first line-up of União needed a lead guitarist player and thinking about a new member, a keyboard player. Irineu and Timo started searching for the new replacements and recruited Douglas Campos like a keyboard player, sounding like a Power Metal Band. They played their first show with that line-up on Rock in Concert 3 in 2000. This line-up played around 10 shows, but Reinaldo Silvério left the band  and they recruited Nando Rodrigues, a very good drummer, offering for the guys more speed with his good hands and foot. After that in 2002, they entered  at “Creative Sound Studios”, the best studio of São Paulo ( owner is Philip Colodeti, producer of Kamelot, Paul Di’ anno, Shaman, Angra(Acid Rain demo), Eterna and others). Among the record sessions, they were invited to open a show for the German band “Seventh Avenue” at DirecTV Music Hall – São Paulo in September 20Th 2002, but one problem, days before, the keyboard player Douglas Campos left the band, and they found one of the best classic piano and keyboard player, Willian Benincasa. In the same time, the band were ending their first cd, entitled "Scream on the Cross" like a independent band saving some money for that. Spending 12 hours a day, after 6 months, they  finished the recording sessions and turned to searching for a record label to release their first cd. The manager Társis Alberto found “Megahard Records”, a small label from Brazil, but very good and believed in their work and decided to help União.
So, União found you guys, “ANASTASIS”, the band never  played out of their country before, and if would happen, maybe, they will not play there, cause they all would die with a heart attack(smiling). This was an opportunity that União never had, still pretty underground around the world, had been waiting for like their first album got out.
With influences like bands are: Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden and Metallica (old great years), we play a very good Power Metal wherever you invite us.
